Ms. Charny has been practicing law since 1984 when she joined the Camden County Prosecutor's Office after clerking for the Honorable Judith A. Yaskin. For 5 1/2 years, Ms. Charny tried cases in major criminal trials where she gained extensive experience in the area of domestic violence, leading to her evolution into Family Law.

After several years, Ms. Charny wanted to pursue her own practice and joined her husband to launch Charny & Charny in 1999, which later expanded to the Law Offices of Charny, Charny & Karpousis in 2003. She leads the practice's Divorce & Family Law Group and is a role model for the firm.

Ms. Charny is a Master in the Thomas S. Forkin Family Law Inns of Court and is on its Executive Committee. She is a Matrimonial Early Settlement Panelist in the Superior Court of New Jersey for both Camden and Burlington Counties, and serves on the District IV Ethics Committee of the Supreme Court of New Jersey.

Ms. Charny is an active member of the New Jersey State Bar, Camden County Bar and Burlington County Bar Associations. From 1999 to 2008, Ms. Charny was the Cherry Hill Township Municipal Court Prosecutor. In addition, she is a member of the Business Development Alliance and South Jersey Jewish Business Network.

In recognition of her expertise and commitment, Ms. Charny has been named to South Jersey Magazine's "Awesome Attorneys" and SJ Magazine's "Top Attorney" lists in every year since 2007. She has also appeared on Legal Line, "Fox & Friends" and CN8 "Your Morning." In 2008, Ms. Charny was inducted in the National Association of Professional & Executive Women's "Women of Excellence" Registry. Most recently, she was named the 2011 "Women's Advocate of the Year" by the South Jersey Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBOŽ).

Ms. Charny resides in Cherry Hill, New Jersey with her husband and law partner, Richard Charny. They have three sons. The family is actively involved in community service including fund raising for the American Cancer Society, Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation, Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes, Jewish Federation and Jewish Community Center of Southern New Jersey.
