Leighann Reilly joined Charny, Karpousis, Altieri & Donoian, P.A. in 2021 as an associate focusing her practice on all aspects of family law. This includes matters relating to divorce, child support, custody, parenting time, equitable distribution, prenuptial agreements and other traditional matrimonial law matters. Over the past decade, she has built a reputation based on skilled and compassionate, representation of clients from all walks of life.
One who recognized early the importance of hands-on experience, Ms. Reilly began her legal career even before graduating law school. She took externship and clerkship positions in the Superior Court of New Jersey in Camden County, including as a summer judicial intern with the Honorable Lee B. Laskin and summer judicial extern with the Honorable Charles M. Rand, the former presiding Judge of the Family Part, which led to full time clerkship him for the year following her law school graduation. Ms. Reilly then joined Rabkin Law Offices, P.C. as an associate attorney.
Active in the professional community, Ms. Reilly is a member of the Burlington County Bar Association, Camden County Bar Association, Camden County Young Lawyers Committee and Thomas S. Forkin American Family Inn of Court, where she is a member of the Executive Committee and Community Outreach Chair. As Chair, she fundraises and organizes a yearly Adopt-A-Family Program, supplying meals clothing and toys for families during the holiday, suitcase drives to provide luggage to children in the local foster care programs and school supply fundraisers for school districts in need. Ms. Reilly actively seeks participating in additional committees, continuing education and other professional opportunities on a regular basis.
Ms. Reilly is a Villanova Wildcat through and through, first earning her Bachelor of Arts Degree from Villanova University in political science and sociology Minor. During this time, she was a four-year starter and co-captain for the Varsity Women’s Tennis team while making Dean’s List and receiving an award for academic and athletic excellence. After completing her undergraduate degree, she earned a Master’s Degree in Liberal Studies within an accelerated 9-month time frame and her Juris Doctorate Degree in 2011.
While attending law school, Ms. Reilly actively participated in various law school programs. She was a member of the Student Bar Association where she was elected as the University Senator and served in that position both her 2L and 3L year. In addition, Ms. Reilly was a staff writer for the Sports and Entertainment Law Journal, member of the Phi Alpha Delta National Law Society and participated in the Federal Tax Clinic representing low-income taxpayers before the IRS and US Tax Court. She also studied abroad in Italy after her first year of law school.
Born and raised in South Jersey, Ms. Reilly attended Bishop Eustace Preparatory School and continues to live in Camden County with her husband and their two children. Outside of work, she enjoys playing tennis, going to the beach, attending local sporting events with family and friends and volunteer work.
